School of Education & Human Development - Denver

Format

Online

An online class is delivered 100% electronically using the internet or other computer-based methods. The teaching is conducted from a remote location through an online course learning management system or other online or electronic tools. Students have access to the teacher and classmates synchronously, asynchronously, or both. Online classes typically are term-based, but some may be offered in a self-paced format.

This online program will prepare you with a solid background in assessment, teaching, intervention and collaboration to help you be successful in your career. Your licensure course work will include fascinating topics such as child growth and development, approaches to young children's learning, curriculum and program development, family-centered practice, culturally-responsive teaching in multicultural and multilingual settings, medical and physiological aspects of developmental disabilities, social and cognitive development/disorders, screening and assessment of young children, and intervention strategies.
