Format

Online

An online class is delivered 100% electronically using the internet or other computer-based methods. The teaching is conducted from a remote location through an online course learning management system or other online or electronic tools. Students have access to the teacher and classmates synchronously, asynchronously, or both. Online classes typically are term-based, but some may be offered in a self-paced format.

The leadership and management certificate provides in an in-depth understanding of management, leadership, and strategy deployment to improve performance quality. It encourages you to discover how to use your own natural strengths to become the best leader you can be and how to navigate ethical decisions and maintain integrity as a leader. Find the leverage points in your organization for delivering exceptional results. One year of professional work experience is required.

Degree Requirements

A minimum of one year of professional work experience post-baccalaureate. An undergraduate degree in any academic field from a regionally accredited institution. An undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.75.

State Authorization

The University of Colorado must be authorized, exempted, or licensed by each state to offer its online programs to non-Colorado resident students. Below is a list of states with restrictions on enrollment and activity. Students living in these states cannot enroll in any online course, program, certificate, or degree offered:

  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • District of Columbia
  • Utah
